Our Mission
Light of the World Church of God is a non-denominational biblical based ministry, dedicated to teaching and equipping believers and followers of Christ; for the uplifting and furtherance of God’s Kingdom. We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and accept the Holy Bible as the authenticated Word of God. Therefore we shall:
|
Proclaim the message of Salvation (Eternal Life) through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior; who died for our sins thus paving the way for our reconciliation with God; through His death and resurrection, further demonstrating God’s love and compassion for mankind (John 3:16-17)
Give adoration, reverence, and glory to God through praise and worship – (Psalm 150:1-6)
Study God’s Word, the Holy Bible as directed by the Holy Spirit through biblical exploration (what the Bible says) and biblical application (applying the Bible to everyday life); thereby encouraging discipleship, spiritual growth, and the development of spiritual gifts and talents; for the uplifting of God’s Kingdom. (2 Timothy 2:15)
Serve faithfully by seeking God’s will and divine guidance in our calling as leaders and bearers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:20; 1 Peter 4:10)
Live a life of holiness, pleasing and acceptable to God; thereby bearing witness of God’s power over sin. (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 10:24-25)
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart... that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:8-10
